On one of the websites offered in resources by Dee Dee, I found this cool lesson plan to teach the distance formula using NASA's lat/long listings for their NASA offices in CA. However, I think it would be much more interesting to our students if we had a large map available (global) with detailed lat/long listed so that they can pick out their 'ideal place to visit' and find the distance from that place (lat/long) with here in Lexington! I have been searching on the web for specific lat/long maps, and not found anything good yet, not even from National Geographic nor NASA themselves! Does anybody have any ideas??
