The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Location: IAKSS		Raytheon Co. is offering grants and scholarships to reward "math heroes" for their dedication to improving math education and their inspiration of participation in math.

The MathMovesU program gives $2,500 grants to people or to a school or math-related nonprofit program chosen by the person who is nominated.

The company seeks nominations of effective math teachers, (or students) -- people who use creativity while working with math or those who do a special math project. Nominate yourself or a colleague today!

The application deadline is Feb. 15.
