The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;

  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

I will take the substitution method if that is ok with everyone. I have some good ideas on how to make it interesting and I also have some interesting activities. If this is fine with everyone doing the systems unit, I will start gathering stuff for it.

Location: PL Dunbar		That's fine with me. That leaves graphing and elimination. I would rather take elimination, so if Stinson is ok with graphing then we can all get started. I know Lubbe is doing the graphing calculator stuff.

Location: IAKSS		Yes, each unit should have something "flashy" (flash component) in it. (not every lesson....but "something" within the unit).

Clarifying...this is graphing without a calculator...but with the assumption that the students already know how to graph a line?
