The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Here is a factor puzzle I created to review factoring with my Advanced Geometry students. Could work great with Algebra I Chapter 5 or as a review in any other class. Just cut the puzzle apart and have the students factor it back together!

P.S. This is my first time posting so if I didn't do something right, let me know!

Thanks, Jennie! I use a puzzle like this in PreCal with trig identities and it is really successful and the kids LOVE it! I will definitely use this in Algebra 1 this year.

How did you get the equations upside down? We use these a lot over at HC and this would be great to know.

Ah, the old fashioned way...cutting and pasting. I have yet to figure out a way to invert text. However I used Excel for the sideways problems/answers and so in the end it didn't take to much addition effort to attach the upside down parts.

If anyone figures out a way to get get or equations upside down (that doesn't involve Bryson's fancy computer language) let me know!
