Mathematics Instructional Learning Community
The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

What do other schools have for the pre-req for sophomores to sign up for Adv Geometry? We don't seem to have a policy for it and we have decided it's time. We'd love to hear what others are doing.

The freshman Alg I teachers make that recommendation. Students need to have an A in Alg I and a good work ethic, however if a students wants to try the advanced level we have been discouraged from discouraging them. If that makes sense.
