The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

I have been working on this distance application - finding the distance between two given points. It is very basic. Suggestions are welcome...

Nancy, this is fantastic!! I really liked how the triangle pops up on the answer. That is a great way to relate the distance formula to the Pythangorean Theorem. You may be working on this already, but I noticed that it doesn't actually round the answer it just trucates it.

Yes, I need to work on that formula to make sure it actually rounds the answer. Was there any thing else you noticed that needs to be changed? I am working on a directions screen so that users will know what to do.

Also, do you have any suggestions for other FLASH applications?
