Per our last meeting, I researched how to grab a string like "x^2*sin(x)" and parse it into computer syntax so that we can make calculator like applets. I made an example involving a graphing utility and I will hopefully have some stuff made up for our next Flash meeting.

You have to put parenthesis around trig parameters and you have to use * for all multiplication. Just press Graph Me when you want the graph

Got it...i simplified everything down. just extract all contents of the zip file and you are ready to play. I commented on the fla file so folks can follow along.

I can't open the fla file. It tells me that it is an unexpected file format. Can you try saving it in a lower version?
