The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Hi all!! I was wondering if you could all post a reflection of sorts...something you have used new this semester that worked really well...or something you always return to that has always worked 'thru the years'. I found out from Bryson giving me Ms. Clevinger's notes that if I type up notes that the students have to fill in parts of...and provide a place for some examples...that my students in Geometry pay attention more, and I give a bit of extra credit for them turning them all in completed at the time of the test. Funny thing though...it didn't work in Algebra 2! They hated it!!

I think Geometry students like a work along type sheet more than Algebra 2 because of all the pictures that we usually produce for them on the worksheets...
