The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;

  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Location: Henry Clay		There is a filter on the bottom of the projector that is supposed to be cleaned. If you're like me, you had no clue. We had a power surge this morning that flashed the power off. A few minutes after I turned the projector back on, I got an overheating message flash up on the screen! SCARY! I thought the power surge had done something. But the message mentioned about checking a filter. What filter?!? I turned the thing upside down and sure enough there was a filter FULL OF DUST!

So be aware, clean your filters regularly! And yes, my projector is now fine Shewwww....

Location: Retired FCPS, Current UK and Transy		I took a can of air and blew the dust off (after taking the filter out of the projector). Thanks for the heads up Melissa.

Location: IAKSS		Cleaning the filter also helps to keep the bulbs lasting longer. Helps them from overheating! Great reminder for all. Thanks!

Location: PL Dunbar		Any suggestions for those of us who have them mounted in the ceiling? I would need a really tall ladder to reach mine!
