The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;

  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

The following was an interesting problem posted to the Calculus Forum but is just about the properties of Log and e.
The nice thing is the TI-89 gives a strange answer. Rene do you recognize this question?

A little late, but I liked this problem. It used skills (tricks) they will need later. I'm curious to see how they all did on it. A few of my KYA? students already turned in correct solutions.

My students said it was a hard one, but my KYA students turned it in on Friday (I told them they had to turn it in before they left) with correct solutions.

Ya, I should have told all of my to turn it in before they left - BUT - I did remember to give them their homework Oh well, if they didn't complete it before their trip they will have more to do sunday night before coming back from their LONG break!
