The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Hey Guys,
Just checking in with you. Have we decided what we want to do for our presentation? I know we had discussed using algebra tiles to show completing the square. What else did we have in mind? Hope everything's going well.

I think you're right about doing the algebra tiles for completing the square. I say we still go with that. As far as another activity to present, it would probably be a good idea to use one of the CBR activities. When you guys have an opportunity, peruse the activities we got & let's see if we can't find a good one for our quadratics unit. By the way - when are our presentations? Do any of you know at which meeting we will be presenting?
