If anyone has any good ideas about setting up and using the new stuff, pass it on.

I have my projector on the highest level of my overhead cart and my document camera is on my table in the front of the room. This seems to be working well for me. It also allows me to have a flat surface to write on. You should try to put your document camera on your extra desk in the front of the room. I hope this helps!

I am glad to hear it. Another thing I have found helpful is once I have figured out where I am going to set the document camera, I used masking tape to outline where the camera goes and were the paper goes. Then I know exactly what will appear on the screen.

I like the fact that I can put the camera just about anywhere in the room so that I am not in the way of the kids seeing what is on the board. If we were to mount the projector on the ceiling, that would eliminate that cart or table at the front of the room!! More space, that is what I need!!

I don't like that I have to use the paper landscape. I think I finally have the camera set where I can use the paper portrait!! It is when I have to take it down and put it away that causes problems because I can never get it set up exactly the way it was!!

Maybe you should resituate the tape. When are you taking it down? Mine is up all the time. To look at different parts I use the zoom feature on the projector.

I had to put it all away because they had to use my room for the PSAT since the band was in the cafeteria that Saturday. Hopefully, I won't have to do it that often.
