The Mathematics Instructional Learning Community (MILC) Project is an alliance among Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) math teachers focusing on:
  • Increasing the pedagogy and content knowledge of math teachers;
  • Integrating technology tools into everyday math instruction; and
  • Developing, implementing and revising units of study.

Did you all see the e-mail from Vicki about the stock market thing? Does anyone have any experience with this or feel it might be something we could use?

Connie Waespe has participated in the Stock Market Game for several years with her Adv. Algebra 2 class. She claims that it is great fun for the kids and not alot of work for her. Contact her for more info.

So this was used in an algebra 2 class. Since I haven't taught algebra 2 I don't know what concept it was using, but is it something we should look at? I mean she said she didn't have to do much work with it. That's a plus.
