Self-Determination Theory, which proposes that humans seek opportunities for autonomy, competence, and relatedness, and that an environment that supports all three cultivates their intrinsic motivation to learn and grow.

According to Deci and Ryan, people universally thrive in an autonomous environment, in which they have some degree of say in their day-to-day activities, rather than a controlled environment.

That was the goal of our Back to School (virtual) Math Professional Development 2020. Teacher choice was sought from the initial surveys to presenter invites to participation times, dates, and sessions.

Our presenters delivered!
Thank you for your participation.

Presenter LINKS are provided for each of the 35 sessions offered to grades 6-12 math staff this August. It is a pleasure to learn along with you!
