Desmos Calculator in Test Mode App capacity is loaded on every middle and high school FCPS Chromebook.

Remember - Desmos Test Mode app only works when the student has logged OUT of the Chromebook.

Lighthouse Teacher, Susan McGrath, created this tutorial for anyone wanting to turn any Chromebook into a Desmos calculator in kiosk mode.

Instructions and a video are included. Feel free to share with math or science teachers.

This is the same calculator that will be embedded in KPREP testing and the sophomore 10th-grade math test required by KDE in Spring 2020.

One topic discussed in the Book Study was Desmos Activity Builder.

Thank you to Susan McGrath for sharing the Google Slide presentation on how to create a Desmos Activity.

Desmos Graphing Calculator Scavenger Hunts are self-guided Google Slide decks that students use independently with the Desmos graphing calculator. Shelley Mosier at HCHS requested and Susan created. They are useful and terrific!

Each slide has a video to watch and/or a link to read with an activity prompt, and students take a screenshot of their answers to place on the slide!

There are also challenges that students can complete.

They are mostly for ACT and KPREP Desmos Practice but can be incorporated into any math class.

Check them out: https://sites.google.com/fayette.kyschools.us/desmosfcps/desmos-solutions/graphing-calculator
