Number Talks

Number Talks in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms is a high leverage practice for numeracy development and for closing gaps in understanding.
This practice encourages inquiry-based learning and student-to-student productive dialogue and assists students in crafting constructed assessment responses.

A Beginner’s Guide to Number Talks http://bit.ly/2FJ6ayC, GSE Effective Instructional Practices Guide http://bit.ly/21Rphw5, and Looking Inside Mathematics Classrooms http://bit.ly/2DLjX7r will assist educators in structuring successful Number Talks and will provide resources for effective classroom implementation.
