Location: Henry Clay | Next month we will be creating a unit to use in our classrooms. Does anyone have any suggestions for a unit? This topic should be something that will be taught next semester that most of us could use. Something for either Algebra 1 part 1 or 2 will be beneficial to most people (I think). Please give some suggestions on either the class or the topic you would like to see us develop. |

Location: Henry Clay | Bryson Alg. 1 Pt. 2
Mrs. Hays Alg. 1 Pt. 2
Mr. Combs Alg 1 Pt. 2 (think)
Kate Alg. 1
Rene Alg 1 Pt. 1
Most of us overlap the second semester of Algebra 1.
Some topic towards the end of 2nd semester Algebra is my recommendation. |

Location: Henry Clay | Do we all teach a class that Exponentials are taught in? I was thinking prob. or stats, since it's taught in all classes. What do you think? (I know this is Dee Dee's favorite topic!) |

Location: Henry Clay | I don't think there is much overlap between part 2 and calculus! |

Location: Henry Clay | No but some calculus students make factoring mistakes.
In addition adding exponents is sometimes a challenge. |

Location: Henry Clay | What until later on in the year when they have to factor out fractional exponents in order to simplify the problem - oh ya - lots of fun |
