Algebra I experts, I need your help!

Math Posts: 30 Location: Lafayette	I am looking for a fantastic (and free!) website that will help a particular student learn and practice solving linear equations. This student is in 03 Geometry and is severely deficient in this area...much much more so than the typical 03G student. While I am working with this student one-on-one outside of class I am hoping to find a website that will supplement our reviews from home. Any resources? Thank you!

Math Posts: 45 Location: Eastside	I'm not an Algebra I expert but here are some websites that I found. 1. http://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/col_algebra/col_alg_tut14_lineareq.htm - has videos that the student can do to check his work 2. http://education.yahoo.com/homework_help/math_help/problem_list?id=minialg1gt_1_1 3. http://www.purplemath.com/modules/solvelin.htm I like number 3 a lot because it discusses every step. I'm sure someone else has some other websites that are much more useful but this should get you started.

Math Posts: 37 Location: Southside	I have a few. www.regentsprep.org is really helpful http://www.kutasoftware.com/free.html has a lot of good worksheets. www.math.com is good Also, you can download the Mcgraw Hill workbooks in PDF form. I cut and paste themt to make notes and problems.

Math Posts: 58 Location: PL Dunbar	i use math.com - teacher page to create websites and send the website home to the parents to generate problems. it doesnt explain anything, but will give you the answers to the worksheet you create. you are welcome to share the powerpoints my kids created on my website http://www.staff.fcps.net/szehnder/ they are listed under student work. they are systems, but have parts of solving equations in them. i would look at them first before sharing with students
