Bluma's method

Math Posts: 55 Location: Henry Clay	Steve Combs and I both used Bluma's method to teach factoing of ax^2 + bx + c today. We liked it a lot and although it's been a while since I taught Algebra 1, I'm quite sure they were faster at factoring than good ole guess and check. I think we were supposed to let the professor know how it went if we tried it. I can't find his contact info, though. Anybody have it? Maybe Steve will post his nice hand-out for others to have. Mine was not very fancy.

Math Location: Retired FCPS, Current UK and Transy	Not only would Dr. Millman like your feedback, he would also like to observe you teaching Bluma's Method. If you would like an observer when you teach this, let him know.

Math Posts: 76 Location: Henry Clay	Half of my students liked this method. The other half had trouble because of the number of steps and were confused with the fractions. Maybe with more practice it will be easier...
