This is a FLASH movie that I found that shows the line of best fit for a scatter plot that you create. It is pretty nice.

I did an activity for line of best fit called "Is it linear or knot". Students started with a piece of rope and tied knots in it. They graphed Number of knots against length of rope then found the equation . It was nice to have data with negative a trend. Email me if you would like a copy of the activity.

Also don't forget about the maual fit option on your ti-83/4 calculator. It is like the spaghetti activity with the spaghetti inside your calculator. I have this typed out also. again email if you would like a copy.

Thanks for sharing that, Steve. It's things like this that really help those of us who aren't into the computers as much as some of the rest of you.
