A set of virtual manipulatives, especially useful now that we have projectors and can easily share with the whole class!

I observed a teacher last Thursday using this website. A student was seated at her computer/projected to the screen in front of the class. The class would "tell" the student what to "move" using the "balance" under the algebra section (9-12).

The lesson went great and I would highly recommend this website.

I will have to add that ALL the students wanted to be at the computer! For the first time, many students actually understood the concept of an equation. Good to actually see the balance "tip" when a variable or number was removed. Seems like such a trivial thing...but the students had never made the connection before?! This was a 9th grade algebra lesson observed.
