Algebra Tiles

Math Posts: 44 Location: Henry Clay	Thanks to Tates Creek for the great presentation Monday! I was especially excited about the idea of using the tiles to teach completing the square. I usually am hesitant about using the tiles for the same reason Shannon mentioned--sometimes it seems like the students would have a hard time making the leap from the concrete to the abstract in their understanding. I do LOVE using tiles for teaching adding signed numbers and I am glad to know another excellent use for them. Thanks!
