I meant to post this earlier, but valentine’s kind-of snuck up on me.
Have the students put the following in their graphing calculator
Y1 = abs(x) + sqrt(1-x^2)
Y2 = abs(x) – sqrt(1-x^2)
A good window is xmin = -2, xmax = 2, ymin = -2, ymax = 2.
(you may also want to turn the axes off)
